SBA: Atlanta Emerging Leaders Graduation
Synergy Construction, Principal Ralph Phillips was awarded by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as one of Atlanta’s 2014 Emerging Leaders. The SBA Emerging Leaders is a federal training initiative that focuses on the executives of Small Businesses in historically challenged communities to enhance business savvy & experience. The training initiative was six months, and it rewarded each participant with resources, motivation, and networking opportunities.
National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC)
Friday, October 4, 2013, the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) hosted its 2013 Annual Hard Hat Awards Banquet at the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel. The National Association of Minority Contractors is a nonprofit trade association that was established to address the needs and concerns of minority contractors, however membership is open to all races and ethnic backgrounds. The National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) membership includes general and specialty contractors, independent business groups, suppliers, technical assistance organizations, public agencies, engineers, architects, attorneys, as well as accountants. The Annual Hard Hat Awards Banquet celebrates the achievement of officers of both the public and private sectors. The theme for the 2013 Annual Hard Hat Awards Banquet was, “A World of Opportunity… Atlanta Breaking New Ground,” which reflects the many exciting new projects in progress for the city.
Synergy Construction was presented with the Rising Star Award, which recognizes minority contractors making major strides in the industry. The Rising Star Award creates greater contracting and procurement opportunities for the selected firm.
Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC)
On September 21, 2012, the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) held its’ Spirit of Alliance Dinner & Awards Banquet at the Marriott Marquis, Atlanta, GA. The Spirit of Alliance Awards celebrates excellence in supplier diversity and small business development and showcases the best in Georgia Business Community. Each year, the GMSDC honors the corporations, Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and governmental procurement liaisons that are setting the standard in creating opportunity for minority-owned business entities and exceeding expectations in their business performance. The theme for the 2012 gala was Forward Together, as the GMSDC seeks to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Georgia by fostering a spirit of collaboration and teamwork among its stakeholders.
Synergy Construction was honored as a nominee for the Supplier of Year Award (Class I) and the also the Eagle Award. The Eagle Award, recognizes the MBE firm that shows the greatest commitment to doing business with other MBE firms.
